Soooo it's been a couple few days since my last post but truth is I haven't taken any good photos lately.

The picture above I took today on my way back from dance today! The picture is taken from a dead flower in front of my (Amherst) residence. I really like this one because of the colors!! I like the redish-brown of the flower against the blue of the house. And although I know this flower is dead I'm so looking forward to spring and all the new flowers that will be arriving sooner than later!!!! It's amazing to think we have a snow storm warning here!!! It has been so lovely here the past couple of days! I guess that's what you get when you live on the "ice coast"(that's what my friends from the west coast calls the east coast....but not for the same reason, he said it about the snowboarding/skiing conditions but whatever lol). Wow I love love love to ramble!

speaking of rambling fun fact the title of this post is a great quote from the french film "Amélie" which I recomend EVERYONE see!! As long as we're talking films I also recomend...

North Adams

It's funny how when you can have or do something you don't really want it but the minute you can't it's all you want. We people are just strange animals. Point of the story is now that I'm on Stage Crew and HAVE to be here EVERY weekend I really want to go home!! Which is wierd because usually I never want to go (this is not because I don't love/miss my parents, brother and best friends) because I've spent most of my life there and have always longed for adventure!! (ask my parents about when I was little and used to wonder off).
So what sparked this sob story? Well I got some awesome mail today from my sister April. For those of you who do know, I realize April doesn't live at home but hearing from her just reminds me of being home.
Any-who there is only 18days left until I leave on my EXCITING SUPER FANTASTIC AMAZING AWESOME-O ADVENTURE TO VEGAS!!!!!!!!!! Besides being a very cool adventure to be going on with my best friends Hannah Banana I just found out today I will in fact be running into my roommate Zipper, his girlfriend and his friends while I'm there!!! "joy!"-zipper
hahahaha he's such a dorkus (sp?). I'm so excited! Ok, I guess I should at least pretend to be a good student and look at my homework. toodles kids!

The Mays sure do love to blog

This adorable picture of my parents was taken yesterday when they came to visit me! It was a super fun visit! They came and we chatted about blogs, went out to dinner with my friend Micki and ABC (Amherst Brewing Company). We had a delightful meal full of giggles and we played "the game".

(Above me and Micki taking one of our classic best friend photos) Also at dinner I took my first ever picture of wine that actually came out looking good!I'm kind of proud of myself because wine in a glass is very beautiful but kind of hard to capture.


After dinner we all came back and my mom drew on our chalkboard wall. She wasn't feeling it at first but I think she did a great job!! And I don't just think that because she drew me lol.

My mom drew a picture of me so I thought it would be funny to take a picture next to my picture! My mom is sooo talented!! Funny story before the chalk board wall drawings I actually sat down and tried to teach my parents to use facebook hahahhahahahaha. My mom also made me so super delicious treats but sadly I ate them without getting a good picture of them! Over all the day and weekend was Fan-tabulous!!

Friday - Class, lunch with friends, class, gym, nap, out with friends and sleepover at mickis!!
Saturday - cute movies/breakfast with friends, FIRST EVER Stage Crew partice (SOOOOO FUN!!!) home, parents and fun, out to a party!!
Sunday - lazy morning, hw, Stage Crew dance practice home, hung out with the roomies!!

sooo as a fickle student I am often overwhelmed by new music and get so into it I put some older music on the back burner...I'm the worst fan ever!!! Now that I have "twitter" (thanks april for yet another addiction lol) I follow, aka stalk, ingrid michaelson. I'm so asshamed that I put her on the back burner because lets face it folks she is the BEES KNEES!!!!!!
This picture was taken in 2008 in Boston. April was nice enough to bring me to an Ingrid concert because she loves me! This concert was absolutly awesome!! I would love to see her again she is so fun and down to earth and her music is supreme-o! I think you should go listen to her CD right now because it will just make you smile!

Homework is lame

Sometimes when I can't do homework I go through my photo albums and delete really horrible pictures. Everyone once in a while I find pictures I completely forgot I had taken!!
About the Picture: I took this picture in Decemeber (I only know this because I found it in an album named "December 08") I do remember taking the picture because I had intended sending it as a wicked cool Valentines Day card to all my loved ones!! BUT as per usual I completely forgot about it and didn't send it to anyone.
Anywho back to about the photo...The heart is actually an old, broken product that my mom used to sell at her store. It was a love decorder(?) the point was two people touched it and it either sang to you and honked at you. I took the picture because it's completely awesome looking...I have a secret cush on the inside working of technological things even though i'm complete garabage at usuing most tech things lolz.
So I guess this post is a belated Valentines Day or if you don't want something belated Happy Tuesday I Love You!!!

UMass

Other day I was on campus kind of late and and took these pictures. The top picture is of the W.E.B Debouis Library. The second picture is just of one of the many sidwalks on the UMass campus. I really love UMass at night because it's soo calm and despite all the ugly dirty snow it's still beautiful! Even at night there are students walking around doing whatever it
is they all do.




I'm really looking forward to spring because UMass has so many exciting things, plus tons of "found art" and graffiti!! Plus, I love warm weather!!!!!!

In other exciting news I got a 90 on my chem exam and only 24days till VEGAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JUST DANCE <3

SOOOO excited news everyone I MADE STAGE CREW!!! Stage Crew is a student run dance team here at UMass. My best friends Micki is on it and the reason this is sooo much extra super exciting is because I tried out last semester and didn't make it. But, I didn;t let that get me down I practiced with Micki and came back for the second audtions with a good adittude! and YAY I MADE THE TEAM!!! Now I get to dance again!!!! Ok well I'm to excited to write more. toodles poodles!

Feb 15th

So yesterday was the best valentines day! I hope everyone else enjoyed the special day!
So here is my picture for valentines day that I forgot to post. This flower is from a bouquet my roommate received from her boyfriend. I really wanted a picture of the flowers in color but every picture in color I took came out corny looking.


























The two pictures above are pictures I took a couple of days ago at someones house. I really liked the collection of beer caps, there was actually some nice variety (considering most college kids drink the cheapest nastiest crap). Although I know my friends enjoyed the beers, I really enjoyed the colorful caps!!

It's the day of LOVE!

So it's Valentines Day and my best friend, here at UMass, Micki and I have planned an "Anti-Valentines Day" Party!! It involves single people, homemade brownie sundaes, pjs, music and for some people fun mixed drinks! I'm excited for the mixed drinks because I will be practicing my bar tending skills!! Anywho Micki and her mom, Lynnie, made me an awesome Hanukah/Christmas gift which has now became a Valentines gift because like my family the heart is totally in it but no one ever has enough time to craft as much as possible (which i think is a crime).


These are the SOFTEST gifts EVER!!! Micki's mom made the pillow but Micki made the pants herself!! Very impressive because they are the first pair of pants/sowing ever really!

Ok, in other news I tried out for Micki's dance team (stage crew) today and it was a lot of fun. But I won't find out if I made the team or not until tomorrow night. So this is getting a little lengthy so I'm off to prepare for this fun little gathering!! Have a wonderful Valentines Day everyone!!!

"The Photo"

Howdy folks! I'm not sure if all of you are aware but I entered into a photo contest about 4 months ago. Well late last month I got some VERY exciting news. Out of the 3000+ students (from all over the USA and Canada) I was a finalist!! (there were 100 students picked to be finalists!)
So above is the photo I sent in. It's Titled "Alley". The picture was taken in early May in 2008. I took the picture in North Hampton which is close to Amherst (for those of you don't I go to UMass Amherst). While In NoHo with my friend Celina and her family (the young girl in the photo is Celinas sister) I was drawn to this empty alley that had fun graffiti on the walls. Next thing I know I was totally creeping on Celina and her siblings while they waited for me to stop taking photos and their parents to stop buying in some store. But all I can say thank goodness I'm such a creeper because this photo is awesome and made me a finalist in a flippin photo contest!!!! Hope you all enjoy it!

Howdy! So I was starting to feel like the only person in the world (aka the May family) that wasn't hip to this whole blog thing. I guess my blog is mostly going to be a more wordy version of my flickr (I will obviously put different pictures in here). So I guess it's time to get started.

Today has been so delightful!!! The weather is an amazing 52 and all the stupid, ugly, dirty snow is finally melting away!! So here is a picture of some flowers I took today. These flowers were obviously not outside but actually a congratulatory bouquet for my roommate Brian's promotion! Well I'm all out of blogging steam but enjoy the photos and the incredibly glorious weather!
